Receiving and releasing. The pulsation between stimulation and stillness. Be in the flow of life. Be Fueled by Yoga.

The yoga hook was seeded during college in the mid-90’s. A feel-good buzz emerged after participating in my first yoga class and in subsequent classes, the hum continued to flow through me. Ultimately, albeit much later, yoga changed my life!
While working in the corporate world during the early-aughts, I felt lost, without direction and rudderless. From a deep inner intelligence, I knew wasn’t living my purpose. The discord and disconnect caused a bitterness toward the world. It wasn’t doing my health or relationships any favors. Something needed to change. I needed to change. I needed to honor my soul and love who I was in the world, again.
The outward search for contentment led me to revisit yoga. It felt like a safe space to explore and it felt like home. Being on the mat was challenging yet weirdly, comforting. With a regular practice, I found as a happier, healthier and more loving human.
Since 2012, yoga, for me has become a non-negotiable. It’s a dynamic lifestyle methodology and practice. It’s whole-being wellness. Yoga helps me navigate, accept and love my ever-changing self. It’s helped me become aware of my energy, especially what’s restoring or depleting it. Yoga has expanded my ways of thinking and thus, has positively impacted how I relate to myself, others and the world-at-large. Yoga was the body, mind and spirit nourishment I needed. It still is.
Today I’m a yoga therapist and educator. I work with people to navigate their own health and healing. I love what I do and feel as resilient as ever. This is after turning 50yr in 2023! Age, schmage! In my body, mind and soul, I’m meant to support folks fueling their lives with yoga as a technology for wellbeing. Let’s connect to see how yoga can fuel your life, too!
I live and teach yoga on unceded Duwamish land in the city of Seattle and the state of Washington.
The beginnings of yoga were developed by the Indus-Sarasvati civilization in the Indus Valley (now India) over 5,000 years ago. The practice has been passed down from teacher to student since then. All the knowledge I share I owe to the generosity of teachers who have educated me and the ancient lineages that have developed and evolved the practices of yoga. My training and practice fall under the ancient lineage of Hatha Yoga as communicated by the scholar, Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya and his son, T.K.V. Desikachar to my teachers.
